woyww - the getting ready edition

Good morning and happy What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.  I hope you'll visit Julia's blog and check out desks from around the world.

My desk this week is all about getting ready.  There's the cat painting I'm getting ready to give to a friend.  The pear I'm getting ready to redo.  It needs to be an inch lower!) The bottles I'm going to alter and the little glass dishes I'm thinking of making candles in.

About the only thing that's really happening here are the little houses from last week.  I've cut some of them out of chipboard.  However, it's taking ages, so even though I want the bit of depth that chipboard offers, I think I'm going to cut the rest out of paper!  Lazy?  Probably!

Well, hi, ho, it's off to work I go.  I'm feeling sleepy and grumpy, so only 5 more dwarves to go!

  5. Oh the pear is gorgeous - you can use it for something else though, huh? As for the chipboard...now what you mean - cut loads from card and glue em together for the rigidity.

  10. I wonder who would notice the letters you are not happy with ...I couldn't ...the over all effect is brilliant and will be even better if coloured and/or cut out and lifted ...but then I just love it even if it's half an inch ish too high and would be chuffed to recieve it as is.xx

  13. Those little pens pots are crying out for a redo too. My pot has been half finished for about the last 4months. It was going to be a bird house!! Looking forward to seeing what you do with the bottle. Hugs Mrs A.

  15. I still love the pear! Glad you are keeping the original. I can sympathize with you on the chipboard. I admit I have NEVER owned any chipboard, so I can only believe these must be really hard to cut. As a person who lives with arthritic fingers that have no pinch grip, I would have stopped after the first or second cut, I suspect. Have a super WOYWW from # 2.

  21. Lovely pear picture, and I really love the "distressed" edges of your photo! And the name of your blog! I've got one of our kitties on my lap at the moment and she's digging her elbow into my leg! Happy belated WOYWW - been too busy setting up my new Etsy store and got all behind! Shoshi #97
