The healing power of art

I was very happy to find these little squares again. I thought I'd thrown them out by accident. (This was quite likely: I've managed to throw my passport out before now, so four little squares would be easy to toss!)

Looking at them, I realise that these little pieces of art healed me. I bought the Bite Me stamp at a time when my life was going through some fairly traumatic changes. There were several people I wanted to say "bite me" to. Actually, there were several people I wanted to scream "bite me" at!

So I bought the stamp. And then started to get creative with it. I had a vision of creating "The Bite Me Chronicles". I did a "bite me" square with Dracula on it (which I have yet to find!). I had a lot of fun with it. And in doing so I got out a lot of my anger and pain. And I don't feel it anymore. I used art to work through it. This was definitely a first for me: in the past I've not been able to create when I've been that upset.

I'm not looking to be unhappy again, but I do hope that my art, my creativity, hell just thinking about creativity, will help me again.
